I am a descendant of Augustine Herman through his first wife. His second
wife was named Mary Catherine Ward, allegedly daughter of Henry Ward. The
Labadists reported that Catherine did not treat Augustine well. She was
living in 1686 when Augustine Herman died at Bohemia Manor, Cecil County, MD.
It has been reported that she had "several husbands" after Augustine
Herman's death. Any further information on her would be greatly appreciated.
She had no children with Augustine. Likewise Catherine did not treat
Francina Herman (born 1662), Augustine's daughter by his first wife Janetje
Varlith very well.
