Hi List,
I was wondering whether anyone knows how it was determined that HOOPES was the last name of Richard (b.1656 Gloucestershire, d. 1719 Pennsylvania) WEBB's wife, the Quaker minister.
The only HOOPES I can find are from Yorkshire and there is nothing about Elizabeth there.
Also, I am beginning to think that the paucity of information in the Gloucestershire/Wiltshire Quaker records may be an indication that they lived somewhere else, at least until 1688.
Any suggestions of information would be appreciated.
