beebewest,

I can't say for sure that the information I have is about your Lemuel West, but
the only one I've found so far in all my searching is - a Lemuel West, born
sometime in the early 1700s to William West of Princess Anne County, VA. The
following references are extracted from some old handwritten notes made by my
great aunt back sometime around the 1930s, so I hope you can follow them. I've
tried to make some sense of these notes as best I could

Taylors Magazine, Vol VIII (p. 244 - 5)
J(?) Princess Anne Co.
William West carried on the line. He leased land in 1718. He & his WIEF
Francis WEST sold land to his brother-in-law Wm Brown in 1720. Also in 1730
he made gifts to Mary and Amy DOWLEY. DIED 1764 leaving wife AMY who DIED
1771. Issue:
1) William
2) Thomas
3) Lemuel and
4) Willoughby
sons of Wm and FRANCES WEST. Daughters
1) Mary and
2) Lydia.

P. 387
WILLIAM WEST son of William & Frances WEST DIED 1790. In his tax list of 1783
he men his sons:
1) Calib
2) Willoughby
3) William
Daughters
1) Elizabeth

I wish I knew more about this family as it may be mine as well, but I can't
prove it yet. I hope this information is helpful. Let me know if this helps. I
may be able to find some more notes that will help.
