I rec'd an email , from my cousin , that may clear up some confusion
of the New England & Virginia WEST lines. Hope this will help with
your researching.

( Researching Jonathan WEST of NY & VT areas ; circa 1700's )

Do you remember when that library in RI sent me 4 pages of West info. from
that book "Always Westward"? I was just looking at it and I see the line for
Francis West/Susanah Soule very clearly. These people are going around in
circles when they should concentrate on materials that are at their
libraries. Esp. that one in Cincinnati--I found loads of inof. on Francis
West there. The others are on a wrong line:
Sir Thomas West (1577-1618),Lord de la Warr, the first royal governor of
Va., had brothers named Francis, John and Nathaniel (not the Francis though
of Mass/RI) The family name was West.
The info. you and I got in St. Louis has this in it and others looking for
this West line. I have read lots on them and they are two different lines.

There is a website in Familysearch devoted entirely to Francis West and his
descendents also. I'll look up the site address and let you know what it is.
