For those of you (many) who have been corresponding back and forth with me
in my WEST search, here's my newest developement:

I was completely wrong about my Granpa Jim's name..

Today I rec'd the copies of my parent's original SSAN applications, and
according to my mom's app, she listed her father as JAMIE DIXON WEST..
Who'da thunk it? <g> I've been searching James D. and even fell for James
H. for a while..

She listed her mom as JESSIE MYRTLE STIPE, and her birthplace as
SPRINGFIELD, GREEN COUNTY, MO. When she made the application, she was 14
yrs old, living in Los Angeles CA.

I sent for these papers 11-18-00 they took a long time but were well worth
it. Comments are welcome.
