Hello Mark West:
Do you have any further information regarding the Thomas West of
Rutherford County, NC, who had sons William and Isaac, that you mentioned in
your February 15th letter to the "list"? My great grandfather, William
Berry West, died in Marshall County, Mississippi about 1887. Census records
indicated he was born in Tennessee in 1823, and later census records
indicated both his parents were born in North Carolina. Since William Berry
named his firstborn son "Thomas" (actually, John Thomas) that is a possible
candidate for the name of his father, but right now I am at a dead end
trying to determine the ancestors of William Berry West. Any help would be
appreciated.
