This isn't much help genealogy-wise, but didn't realize there was a
Tazewell, Va. I recently read a copy....literally zerox copy...of an
autobiography of John Sergeant Wise of the Accomack, Va. bunch who was born
in 1846 and wrote the book around 1900. In there he tells of some of the
fun parties....and people....one in particular was a young man name Taswell
(forget his first name but probably a cousin) who was regarded highly by
the ladies and gents alike for his wit. At one famous gathering the
hostess insisted on serving him some tea, to which he replied, "Thank you
but no, I would be as-well without the t." Hope this brightens your day
and I do wonder if there could be any connection between Taswell surname and
Tazewell. -bob

Barrett in 1908.They lived in Wash. Co. Va. and I am hoping your George
