I have several messages from you and have been delayed answering
because of trouble getting on-line. I mentioned
earlier that I had the names of the six children of Col. John Wise and one
of his children was Hon. John Wise. But I only
have that Hon. John Wise (John Wise 11), b. Est. 1638-1648 m. Mathilda West
on 1684 in Va. Don't know the names of any of his children. I have been
trying to find out about Col. John Wises brother, William, and recently
became aware that I may be way off track. William may have been born 1620
and there may have been another brother Thomas b. 1612 (??) but not sure at
all. This has created a lot of confusion for me because William is my
ancestor and I am unable
to connect him properly. I also became aware that the parents of Col John
Wise and his brother William probably weren't John Wise b. 1566-1576 &
Susanna Prestwood!! You can see, that just recently I do not know what I
thought I knew!!! In searching for Col John Wises parents I came across
more confusion. On an LDS Family Group Record someone listed John Wise b.
1590 (his father being Rychard Wise) his spouse unknown, had two children:
William Wise b. 1620 and John Wise (Col.) b. 16Nov1617 in Devonshire,
England and d. Accomack, Va. But on another LDS-
Pedigree Chart Thomas Wise b. 1591 of Sydenham, Devonshire, Eng. m.Mary
Buller abt. 1616 (she was b. 1595 of
Sydenham) and they had a son John Wise b. 16Nov1617 in Sydenham, Devon,
Eng., d. 19Nov1695 in Clifton, Accomack, Va. m. Hannah Scarborough b. 13Jan
1622 in Westminster, St. Martin, London, Eng. d. 14Jan 1622 in
St. Martin-In-The-Field, London, Middlesex, Eng. Several people have said
that John was the father of Col. John Wise and a few have said Thomas was.
Obviously, we have a lot of records to find and search to straighten this
all out. I would love to have your three pages to look over and will send
you anything that might be of help without confusing

Ancestry.com of the English Parish Records now
available on-line. Just need the time to search through them. More later.
