Your message caught my eye because of Mildred being born in Ohio and the
similarity of names with a Wise family in Shelby Co. Ohio. I haven't
researched this family but this is what I have on them:
Daniel Wise born abt 1802-1807 in Md. Married Nancy ???.
In 1831 George W. Wise was born in Md. He died 7-14-1910 Shelby Co.
There was also a son Charles born in Md. abt 1856.

George W. Wise married Catherine ?? prior to 1878. Catherine was born in
Ohio 1842 and died 1915 in Shelby Co.
Their sons were:
Franklin H. Wise born 1878 in Ohio and died 1959 Shelby Co. Ohio.
Daniel Wise born 1880 in Shelby Co. and died 1926.
They also had 2 daughters born after 1880.

Franklin H. Wise married Alice M. Chaffie and had a daughter Mildred who
married Barney Sherman.
Other names of their children were Marie, Louis,Viola,Clifford and Emma.
Don't know if this connects with your family but if I can look up anything
in Shelby Co. for you, let me know. Jayne

My grandfather, Carl was reportedly born in 1909, however he is absent on
the 1920 census, and listed as age 9 in the 1920 census in the Henry Logan
Children's Home in Parkersburg, WV. Frank Lee's birth year was reported as
1911 but he is listed as age 7 in the 1920 census. The supposition is that
the ages are all off by 2 years, somewhere for whatever reason.
