Listers,

Today I received from the Sacramento, CA., Public Library photocopies of
the following newspaper notices:

11 Nov 1854 issue of the Sacramento Union....
under the column announcing "Deaths":
"In San Francisco, Nov. 8th, Col. D. Y. Woodlief, late of Texas, aged 48
years."
(sandy's note: the middle initial is printed as "Y". No other details
were given - it is a simple death notice in a column listing 5 different
deaths).

29 March 1859 issue of the Sacramento Bee....
under the column announcing "Births":
"In San Francisco, March 27th, the wife of H. Woodleaf, of a daughter."
